Hello everyone,
While I’ve been overseas, I have been gathering footage, as always, for future film projects and was working on another one when I was inspired, however sadly, to put together a different one altogether. It is inspired by the recent earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria, and my feelings as I watched media reports and listened to friends in Türkiye share their losses. Even though I was not in Türkiye at the time (I was not due to go until March), I feel empathy for my friends and acquaintances there, and as an artist, I can give what I can in addition to donations and words of concern. As a look back since I have not posted a film in a while, here is my most recent one called The Layers, which is a mix of mostly Super 8 film I shot, augmented with digital scenes and 16mm found footage. As you may know from before, this screened twice in Austin, TX, once at SXSW 2022.
